Agro-processing

The project seeks to improve post harvest processes of cultivated crops and their value addition. The processing of agricultural produce is meant to improve the storage capacity, palatability and reduce perishability. Small scale household processing and storage techniques are introduced and farmers trained on their use. The processing aspect also covers that of natural resources as a way of improving their value. Processing centres will be set up in communities to enable communities to access processing facilities for their products. Sunflower seeds processing is already in place in Umzingwane District.
