Family Link

The Trust renders support to families (single parents, child-headed families and couples) to help build wholesome and functional families. It gives Parenting courses, Marriage seminars, Pre-marital Counselling seminars and Parental Mentoring to child-led families.

‘Parenting for the second time’ is a programme which offers tailor made parenting courses for grandparents looking after their grandchildren.

‘The widows program’ addresses gender equality, empowerment of women, especially widows, single parents and vulnerable women. Empowerment is through business training, start up capital support and mentoring and help to access legal representation.

In just one beneficiary community, 70 women have so far been trained in Entrepreneurial Development, 28 households have benefited from the ‘New Hope’ project that provided chickens for sale and 30 households have been provided with start up capital to buy and sell basic commodities.
